BangaloreOne centres now have another feather in their cap. Apart from taking bills and issuing travel tickets, certificates pertaining to caste, income, birth and death - among others -can also be issued by the e-Governance department through a new decision.
The department, in association with the Revenue department, announced the launch of 30 services of the Revenue Department from BangaloreOne on Monday.
Elaborating on the process, an official said that anybody can approach the designated centres with necessary documents. The BangaloreOne centre will electronically generate the application for the service and forward the application and the documents to the Nemmadi back office in the Revenue taluk office. The application will then be processed and field-verified.
The process is likely to take around 10 days. Once the certificate is digitally signed by the tahsildar, it will be available for print and delivery to the citizen at the centre. The citizen will be charged Rs15 for the application transaction. The services will initially be available at six centres on a pilot basis.
The validity of the certificates under RDS can be verified online at www.nemmadi.karnataka.gov.inor at the taluk office designated by the Revenue Department.The list of services, which are now available under RDS, are: birth certificate, death certificate, census certificate, caste and income certificate, caste certificate for Category I, caste certificate for SC/ST, OBC certificate for jobs, residence certificate, income certificate, no tenancy certificate, widow certificate, life certificate, agriculture family member certificate, re-marriage certificate, landless certificate, surviving family member certificate, income certificate for compassionate appointment, unemployment certificate, no government job certificate, agriculturist certificate, small or marginal farmer certificate, agricultural labour certificate, non-creamy layer certificate, land holding certificate, bonafide certificate, solvency certificate, Indira Gandhi old age pension, physical handicap pension, destitute widow pension, national security scheme, Sandhya Suraksha Yojane and non-availability certificate.
